Sentient Rose: A Brief Biography

Rose Khadka is a visual artist and traditional 2D animator whose work explores consciousness, existentialism, and the deeper mysteries of being human. Her artistic journey began at sixteen, following a series of profound spiritual experiences that sparked a lifelong fascination with the human condition and unseen dimensions of life. She carried this curiosity into her studies at Emily Carr University of Art & Design, where she explored the creative process and the power of imagination, graduating in 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts. Today, Rose is developing her independent animation studio, Sentient Rose Studios, where she brings together illustration, animation, and storytelling to create works that invite reflection and wonder. Her work has been exhibited and screened at the Chilliwack Heritage Fair, Myth Valley Studios, Odlum Brown Gallery and the Pancake and Booze Art Show. She is currently developing her illustrated book, Oliver’s Tree, while continuing her lifelong mission: to create art that enlivens the spirit, and inspires us to feel life in a deeper and more meaningful way.
