This workshop is dedicated to introduce participants to the technical aspects of rigging in theatrical settings, with a focus on performance flight – think Mary Poppins or Peter Pan style aerials. Attendees will learn the basics of rigging and gain a deeper understanding of the equipment, rigging techniques, flight systems & structures, knot-tying techniques and safety protocols involved. Attendees will also be able to identify venues and what they can, and cannot rig from, to assist the head rigger in planning and assisting crew members during productions. Perfect for production crew, performers, and theatre enthusiasts alike.
