Adults, Experience Needed
Continue your ceramics journey with your own personalized projects in the Clay Open Studio!
This open studio allows students to practice on the wheel, handbuilding or finish work started in class. Clay used in open studio must be purchased separately through the Centre Box Office.
Only work produced at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre from clay purchased here can be fired in our kilns. These sessions are not designed to accommodate production potters, nor are they designed for private instruction, but to allow students to independently develop their skills. Work created during this session will be glazed at any session you are attending.
Finished pottery pieces Pick-Up Procedure
Patrons pieces can be picked up 2-3 weeks after pieces have been glazed. (Pieces can ONLY be picked up during an Open Studio Block, and not outside of Open Studio times)
Patrons should bring their own packing material and box to put pieces in, as packing supplies cannot be guaranteed from the studio.
Updates
Register Anytime! Participants may register ahead of studio time(s) or attempt to drop-in on the day of an Open Studio Session. If you are concerned about the availability of spaces on a particular session date, please contact the Centre Box Office.
All participants will be required to purchase a drop-in pass to hold their spot, either in person at the Box Office, over the phone, or through the website.
Drop-in passes are non-refundable, so please ensure you can attend before completing your purchase, so everyone has a chance to enjoy the studio. Additionally, while you can still sign up for a maximum of two sessions per week, the calendar will now be completely open until the end of the semester, so you can plan ahead.
