Artists throughout history have been fascinated with the play of light and shadow and the imagery implied by each. Renaissance artists such as Michelangelo and da Vinci developed the style of chiaroscuro which used high contrast light and dark tones in their work.
As humans we marvel at nature with awe and appreciate the beauty and differences in animals for what they are. This show relates this thought to humans. We struggle to love each other for who we are. Josh Henrie's work embraces the beauty and differences of all of us.
