SUMMARY:Murder in the Manor
DESCRIPTION:Price:\n$19– All Seats\nRed Membership program discounts available. \nDate and Time:\nMay 21\, 2026 – 6:15 to 7:15 PM\nMay 24\, 2026 – 2:00 to 3:00 PM \n  \n\n\nMurder in the Manor\nThe intermediate Devised Theatre class (ages 11-13) has sent you an invitation to a most adventurous open house! \nAfter sending out the flyers and putting away all of their electroshock instruments\, water boarding equipment\, rats\, and thumbscrews\, a rather macabre family has high hopes of hosting a most normal dinner and open house. \nUnfortunately\, it seems that Grandpa Timothy has died right at the dinner table! Not of impaling\, poisoning\, or arrow to the heart as the members of the family would typically choose for themselves\, but of… Natural Causes?! \nAbsolutely horrified by the perfectly reasonable manner of his passing\, the family insists something must be wrong. Grandpa Timothy wanted to go out in a blaze of glory! The family calls upon a detective to solve the mystery. \n  \n\n\nThe culmination of studio-wide hard work\, CSOPA’s annual Spring Theatre Festival is a collection of ten different shows performed by each CSOPA class. \nEnjoy our JR shows as paired double features with two shows for the price of one! The Chilliwack School of Performing Arts (CSOPA) is a non-profit\, pre-professional\, youth theatre organization working with students ages 5 to 24. \nFrom our youngest and newest performers to the more seasoned teens\, there are a variety of fun and wacky stories–some even written by students–to enjoy! \nHowever\, the learning doesn’t stop at the curtain. Behind the scenes\, CSOPA’s senior students are learning how to become backstage crew members! The Spring Festival is truly a full CSOPA family experience. We hope you’ll join us for an amazing week of incredible youth storytellers and stories. \nCSOPA’s website

DESCRIPTION:Prices\n$19 – All Seats\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates & Times\nMay 22\, 2025 – 4:30 pm\nMay 24\, 2025 – 11:30 am \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEGGS\, FLOUR\, AND LOVE\nCSOPA’s JR Devised Theatre class (ages 8-11) presents Eggs\, Flour\, and Love! This show was written entirely by the students of the JR Devised class! In the once homely Noodleton Noodlery\, cousins Mac and Cap have inherited the family business\, and turned their grandparents homely restaurant into a high-end 5 star establishment. But all is not as perfect as the ratings would imply. Behind the glitz and glamor\, Mac and Cap have forgotten the true values of the Noodleton Noodlery in their quest for stardom. The once close-knit Noodleton family has fractured. Meanwhile\, on the eve of the most important and celebrity-stacked dinner the restaurant has ever seen\, the staff of this once loving family are about to hit their limit with this new unattainable standard. Can the Noodleton family cut through all the ostentatiousness\, and remember the value of good ol’ eggs\, flour\, and love? \n  \n101 DALMATIANS KIDS\nCSOPA’s Intermediate Musical Theatre class (ages 11-13) brings a furry cast of characters to life in 101 Dalmatians KIDS! Pet owners\, Roger and Anita\, live happily in London with their Dalmatians\, Pongo and Perdita\, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita’s former classmate\, the monstrous Cruella De Vil\, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCSOPA’s website\nCSOPA’s Facebook\nCSOPA’s Instagram

Although Horton faces ridicule\, danger\, kidnapping and a trial\, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. \n  \nSAVING MS. HONEY\nCSOPA’s Intermediate Devised Theatre class (ages 8-11) sends us back in time for Saving Ms. Honey! This show was written entirely by the students of the Intermediate Devised class. In a small one room school house a young school teacher does her best to instruct her rag tag bunch of students while under pressure from the mayor. The Mayor will stop at nothing to have her hand in marriage\, and it’s up to her students to reveal his dangerous secret truth to the world. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCSOPA’s website\nCSOPA’s Facebook\nCSOPA’s Instagram

AND LEMONADE\nCSOPA’s JR Stage Performance class (ages 8-11) \nDemonstrates how People will complain about anything — not almost anything\, but absolutely anything!  In this rapid succession of hysterical grievances\, the complaint department takes on everything from Oreo icing to kleptomania. From songs stuck in the head\, to the price of cheese\, and on and on and on.  Could there be a glimmer of hope for anyone in charge of a complaint department? \n  \nTHINGS AREN’T SOUP-ERB\nCSOPA’s Senior Devised Theatre class (ages 14-19) takes us to a surreal Soup-Topia with Things aren’t Soup-Erb. Despite his best efforts\, it seems like catastrophe follows him wherever he goes. When a monster attacks Percy at school –getting him expelled AGAIN– he learns that he is the son of a Greek god\, or as the others call it\, a Half-Blood. Nothing is as it seems anymore\, not even his best friend\, Grover. \nSuddenly\, Percy is faced with new powers he can’t control\, frightening prophecies he doesn’t want to decode\, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. \nAs if his week couldn’t get any worse\, he’s now the prime suspect for stealing Zeus’s master lightning bolt. To prevent all-out war between the gods and prove his innocence\, Percy now must embark on a quest. \nTeamed up with best friend Grover\, and a new half-blood friend\, Annabeth\, can Percy hold off the wrath of the gods\, come to terms with his newfound lineage\, and keep everyone he cares about safe? \nThis show is rated PG for minor mentions of alcohol. \nBook by Joe Tracz\, Music and Lyrics by Rob Rokicki\, Adapted from the book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan \n  \n\n  \nChilliwack School Of Performing Arts Website\nChilliwack School Of Performing Arts (20+) Facebook \n
