The Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society is now accepting applications for the position of Spring Break Arts & Crafts Instructors. The Centre offers a two-week Spring Break Arts Camp, with classes ranging from drama to dance to visual arts and crafting, for children ages 5-11.
The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience facilitating children’s art classes and working with children in a creative environment. Instructors will be asked for their input to develop arts & crafts projects for school-aged children, and ensure that supplies are available for those projects.
Candidates must provide a criminal records check, be punctual, have excellent communication skills, be an organized and effective group leader, and be enthusiastic, energetic, and inspirational with groups of people.
The Chilliwack Cultural consists of a 575+ seat Hub International theatre, a 160+ seat Rotary Hall Studio theatre, the O’Connor Group Art Gallery, performance studios, multi-purpose lobby and concourse, four arts and crafts studios, 21 music instruction rooms/studios, and office and backstage support facilities. The Centre presents a comprehensive performance series of local and touring productions each season.
