Th'owxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish

Let yourself be swept away in the legend of Th’owxiya, an old hungry spirit that inhabits a feast dish of tempting and beautiful foods from around the world. Caught stealing a piece of cheese, a young mouse named Kw’at’el must embark on a journey to trick the hungry spirit and save her family from becoming a feast. With the help of Spa:th (Bear), Sqeweqs (Raven), and Sasq’ets (Sasquatch), Kw’at’el takes a journey to earn Th’owxiya’s forgiveness. Th’owxiya is a tale that teaches the importance of respecting boundaries, being responsible for our own mistakes, forgiving errors and finding the courage to stand up for what’s right. This truly unforgettable Kwantlen First Nation tale steeped in tradition, integrates the use of traditional Coast Salish and Stó:lō music, dance and masks.
