But what happens when these YIPs find a plain-old\, boring\, regular briefcase\, and they are suddenly transported to the land of the BUPs? Will they survive the horrors of department stores\, Google searching\, janitorial equipment\, government forms\, laundry\, and *shudder*… teenagers\, to find their way back home? \n  \nThe Fairy Tale Network \nEnter a fantastical TV studio with the JR Stage Performance class (ages 8-11). The Fairy Tale Network is a television network that needs to improve its viewership ratings with exciting new programming.  The three mice working as creative consultants for the studio each must come up with a story idea to pitch to their new chief\, the Cat.  And they need to pitch their ideas fast before they become a fancy feast!  They retell the well-known tales of Little Red Riding Hood\, The Three Pigs\, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears\, but now with new\, unexpected twists. \n  \n\n\nThe culmination of studio-wide hard work\, CSOPA’s annual Spring Theatre Festival is a collection of ten different shows performed by each CSOPA class. \nEnjoy our JR shows as paired double features with two shows for the price of one! The Chilliwack School of Performing Arts (CSOPA) is a non-profit\, pre-professional\, youth theatre organization working with students ages 5 to 24. \nFrom our youngest and newest performers to the more seasoned teens\, there are a variety of fun and wacky stories–some even written by students–to enjoy! \nHowever\, the learning doesn’t stop at the curtain. Behind the scenes\, CSOPA’s senior students are learning how to become backstage crew members! The Spring Festival is truly a full CSOPA family experience. We hope you’ll join us for an amazing week of incredible youth storytellers and stories. \nCSOPA’s website

Based on several disastrous theatrical experiences\, Bad Play peels back a tattered curtain to examine the process of putting on a show that is less than good. A stuffy narrator (what bad play is complete without a stuffy narrator?) guides the audience through the whole sorry process. We go from the audition—where the director is more worried about roast beef than paying attention to the warm-up exercise\, and the neurotic cast pretends to be bacon—to rehearsals—where a passive-aggressive stage manager gives everyone grief. This bad play within a play won’t win any awards\, but All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play is sure to keep you laughing the whole way. \n  \n\n\nThe culmination of studio-wide hard work\, CSOPA’s annual Spring Theatre Festival is a collection of ten different shows performed by each CSOPA class. \nEnjoy our JR shows as paired double features with two shows for the price of one! SUMMARY:Something Rotten JR.
DESCRIPTION:Price:\n$19– All Seats\nRed Membership program discounts available. \nDate and Time:\nMay 22\, 2026 – 8:30 to 9:30 PM\nMay 24\, 2026 – 12:30 to 1:30 PM \n  \n\n\nSomething Rotten JR\nTravel back to the Renaissance with the Senior Musical Theatre class (Ages 14-18) with Something Rotten! JR. This hilarious musical celebrates one undeniable truth: “nothing’s as amazing as a musical!” \nIn the 1590s\, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing\, dancing and acting at the same time\, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night\, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self\, and all that jazz.

Not of impaling\, poisoning\, or arrow to the heart as the members of the family would typically choose for themselves\, but of… Natural Causes?! \nAbsolutely horrified by the perfectly reasonable manner of his passing\, the family insists something must be wrong.
