The movie\, in which Lisa plays a country singer who leaves home in search of a big break in Nashville\, proved to be prophetic. Shortly after filming wrapped\, and on the strength of her very first Nashville showcase\, Lisa was signed to Capitol Records. Over the next three years\, she released two critically acclaimed albums\, the Canadian-certified Gold record Every Little Girls Dream and the self-titled Lisa Brokop\, which garnered hits such as “Give Me a Ring Sometime\,” “Take That\,” “Before He Kissed Me\,” and “She Can’t Save Him.” In 1995\, the prestigious Academy of Country Music recognized Lisa with an award nomination for Top New Female Vocalist. \nShe has been recognized with a series of Canadian Country Music Awards\, including two nods for independent song of the year and 3 consecutive trophy wins for independent female vocalist.  Most recently Lisa was inducted into the BCCMA Hall of Fame. \nAside from being the songwriter on many of her hit songs Lisa has had the privilege of being the writer on several recordings for other artists including Reba McEntire\, Terri Clark and Pam Tillis. \nIn 2016\, Brokop put together the new musical venture\, “Lisa Brokop: The Patsy Cline Tribute ” where Lisa pays homage to one of country music’s greatest ladies with some of Cline’s classic hits like “Sweet Dreams” and “Walkin After Midnight” and “Crazy” as well as some of her own material specifically written for the project. \nThis is a must see for Patsy Clines fans everywhere! \n  \nHank Lives: \nPaul Jefferson is a singer\, songwriter\, producer and recording artist who originally hails from the hills of Woodside\, CA but has been based in Nashville Tennessee for the past 3 decades. \nEarly in his career\, Paul landed the leading role of Hank Williams in the San Jose production of ‘Lost Highway’ which ran for 8 consecutive weeks. \nPaul made the move to Nashville and signed with Almo sounds Records in 1996 releasing his debut album including the top 40 single ‘Check Please’. That same year Paul enjoyed success as a songwriter with this song ‘That’s As Close As I’ll Get To Loving You’ recorded by Aaron Tippin\, reaching the number one spot on the Billboard country charts. Paul’s songwriting accolades also include cuts by Little Texas\, Buddy Jewell and the song ‘You’re Not My God’ co-written with Keith Urban for his multi-platinum ‘Golden Roads’ album. \nIn 2011 Paul teamed up with his wife Lisa Brokop to form a duo called ‘The Jefferson’s’ and together they toured extensively throughout Canada with their album release of ‘The Jefferson’s\, Volume 1’. \nPauls latest musical venture goes back to his country roots to honor his hero Hank Williams Sr. with the show ‘Hank Lives’ which pays tribute to the many amazing classics of Hank Williams Sr along with stories from the life and times of Hank. \n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://www.chilliwackculturalcentre.ca/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Patsy-Hank-Promo.mp4

DESCRIPTION:Price:\n$19– All Seats\nRed Membership program discounts available. \nDate and Time:\nMay 20\, 2026 – 6:15 to 7:15 PM\nMay 23\, 2026 – 2:15 to 3:15 PM \n  \n\n  \nAIRNTKILBBIABP\nStep behind the scenes with the Intermediate Stage Performance class (ages 11-15) for All I Really Need To Know I Learned By Being In A Bad Play! Based on several disastrous theatrical experiences\, Bad Play peels back a tattered curtain to examine the process of putting on a show that is less than good. A stuffy narrator (what bad play is complete without a stuffy narrator?) guides the audience through the whole sorry process. We go from the audition—where the director is more worried about roast beef than paying attention to the warm-up exercise\, and the neurotic cast pretends to be bacon—to rehearsals—where a passive-aggressive stage manager gives everyone grief. This bad play within a play won’t win any awards\, but All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play is sure to keep you laughing the whole way. \n  \n\n\nThe culmination of studio-wide hard work\, CSOPA’s annual Spring Theatre Festival is a collection of ten different shows performed by each CSOPA class. \nEnjoy our JR shows as paired double features with two shows for the price of one! The Chilliwack School of Performing Arts (CSOPA) is a non-profit\, pre-professional\, youth theatre organization working with students ages 5 to 24. \nFrom our youngest and newest performers to the more seasoned teens\, there are a variety of fun and wacky stories–some even written by students–to enjoy! \nHowever\, the learning doesn’t stop at the curtain. Behind the scenes\, CSOPA’s senior students are learning how to become backstage crew members! The Spring Festival is truly a full CSOPA family experience. We hope you’ll join us for an amazing week of incredible youth storytellers and stories. \nCSOPA’s website
