DESCRIPTION:Price\n$120 – 4 sessions \nDates & Times\nSaturdays\, April 4 to April 25 – 1:00 – 3:00 pm \nInstructor\nPendo Muema \nAdult (16+)\, Beginner\n\nThis course introduces participants to short fiction\, with a focus on short stories\, flash fiction\, and microfiction. Students will explore how character\, conflict\, and setting form the core of narrative writing\, how structure and scene shape a story\, and how audience and intention influence voice and editorial decisions. Each participant will begin a short story draft in the first session and continue developing it over the four weeks\, concluding with a completed draft and an introduction to revision and editing techniques. \n*All supplies included.

This course will introduce participants to the fundamentals of poetry\, from traditional forms such as haiku and sonnet to contemporary modes such as slam poetry and song lyrics. Students will write a new poem each week\, experimenting with imagery\, rhythm\, voice\, and literary devices. The course will culminate in a final sharing session where participants will present their preferred work aloud. \n*All supplies included
