Date & Time:

Light and our perception of it are at the core of Dan Berube’s work. Whether it is a detailed still life, brilliant flowers, a sunlit boat or a misty west coast scene, he captures the effects of light as it reveals the subject. His brilliant watercolours are both spontaneous and detailed in their depiction of light.
Dan was born in Sarnia, Ontario. His early experiences of being in, near or on the water have given him a love for boats and the water’s surface. Dan’s education in Art includes training at the Ontario College of Art, Studies in Florence, Italy, and a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Western Ontario. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Vancouver, Toronto, Sarnia, Ottawa and Italy. His commissioned pieces are highly prized by collectors for their detail and accuracy. His work is represented in many private collections throughout Canada and the U.S.
Dan enjoys instructing people of all ages in Art and he has conducted many watercolour workshops. His studio overlooks the mountains where he currently lives in Chilliwack, B.C.
